Juan Antonio Sanchez has been appointed to be General Manager at Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali. He takes over the reins from Ralf Luther who has moved to Samabe Resort as General Manager of another exclusive Samabe Leisure’s resort. He will be responsible for managing all aspect of property management in accordance with Grand Mirage’s mission statements including maximization of financial performances, guest satisfaction and staff development. He has more than 15 year experiences in the well known hotel brands across Europe and Asia. He has been working in Melia Hotel International since 1993 in various countries such as Spain, Germany and Indonesia (Jakarta & Bali).Prior to joining Grand Mirage Resort and Thalasso Bali, he has served as General Manager at Melia Benoa, Bali for three years. Under his leadership, Melia has achieved remarkable awards such as Melia Benoa Best Quality Hotel Brand Worldwide in 2010 & 2011, Tri Hita Karana Emerald Certification, Green Globe, ASEAN and Earth Check (Environmental Award, ex Green Globe).
He completed his management education in University of Seville (EUSA) and University of Valencia in Spain where he graduated with an International Post Graduate Course in Tourism. He is known as an impressive figure that has excellent communication skills and strong leadership.
