Related to the 25th Anniversary of Grand Mirage Resort and to maintain our awareness of healthy lifestyle, on Tuesday, 5th of June 2018 we held a blood donation at Grand Mirage Resort Ballroom supported by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI). There were 31 donators participated this activity.
Each year, thousands of people rely on receiving donated blood to stay alive. In fact, many countries still depend on blood donations by family and friends of patients in need of blood. The government of Indonesia mandated PMI to conduct and manage the country’s blood supply. The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) then actively encourages people to become regular blood donors for a sustainable blood supply, because they can help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer.
Besides saving lives, by donating blood, donator will get many benefits such as improves overall cardiovascular health, enhances the production of new blood cells, burn calories, and reduce cancer risk. In addition to all of these benefits, a donor receives a free prior health screening plus mini blood test.
