Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali committed to help communities in North and West Lombok who were affected by the earthquake, by providing humanitarian aid with support from Indonesian Red Cross. Indonesian Red Cross distributed the logistics to the most affected villages of the island. Over 80,000 homes were damaged and nearly 400,000 people have been evacuated and are now living in shelters.
A 6.9-magnitude earthquake struck Lombok Island on Sunday night, August 5 2018 and a series of aftershocks caused trauma to many people especially children. Government has mobilized all the relevant ministries and all humanitarian resources to respond the crisis in Lombok. Not only the government, many organizations also gave immediate response by giving medical facilities, medicines, foods, nutrition, logistics, shelter and other basic necessities. Hopefully, these aids would prevent health problems to the survivors of the earthquake and Lombok can recover soon.
